Day 1

WELCOME TO GHANA

On arrival at the Kotoka International Airport, you will be met by a member of the team who will assist and transfer you to your lodging.

After settling in, the group shall be treated to a welcome Ghanaian feast.

Day 2

COOKING CLASS & BEADMAKING

Merry Christmas!

Enjoy your first day in Ghana by making new friends, learning how to cook a traditional meal and making your own glass beads bracelet!

The group shall enjoy supper with our new found friends, Ghana style!

Day 3

AKOSOMBO & DODI ISLAND CRUISE

Today we enjoy Mother nature.

We will embark on an exciting trip to the idyllic town of Akosombo where go on our boat cruise on the Volta River.

We shall be treated to stunning views of the River, the Akosombo Lake and nearby Mountain slopes.

Day 4

ACCRA CITY TOUR

We explore the rather bustling and beautiful city of Accra.

We will learn a lot about Ghana’s political and Pan African history by visiting the Independence Square of Ghana, the Christianborg Castle, and the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum.

Also, we shall visit the vibrant streets of Osu where we shall see lots of artisans displaying their wares for sale.

Day 5

AFROCHELLA *

Today we will be hitting Afrochella in grand style!

All roads lead to the Afrochella grounds for the most anticipated Ghanaian cultural event of the year.

Day 6

HISTORY DAY IN CAPE COAST

Today we will head to the historic town of Cape Coast.

We will head to the Cape Coast Castle to witness a huge part of our colonial history. We will hear and see what happened to our ancestors before they shipped off to the west.

From here we will explore the city’s only reserve, Kakum National Park.

Day 7

THE GREAT ASHANTI KINGDOM

We will be visiting Kumasi after our breakfast today.

Upon our arrival, we will head to the largest hospital in Kumasi, Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, to see the legendary Okomfo Anokye sword.

We shall also visit the Manhyia Palace for briefing on Asanti history and the richness of its culture, as well as splendid examples of the gold-work for which the Asantis are world famous.

Afterwards, we’ll visit an old traditional home to have the famous Ghanaian fufu for lunch.

Day 8

THE ABURI ADVENTURE

After breakfast, we shall head to the Eastern Region to visit the Aburi Botanical gardens.

Afterwards, we head to ATV Aburi, a quad biking experience in the lush area in Aburi. We can take a swim or just enjoy the experience at the local waterfall before we head back to Accra.

Day 9

PERSONAL FREE DAY / SOUVENIR SHOPPING

Happy New Year!

Today is a day for relaxation at the poolside with our new friends or souvenir shopping.

In the evening, we shall have our last dinner as a group and celebrate the memories we’ve created together.

Day 10

RELAX AND DEPART THE GOLD COAST

We wake up to our final breakfast in Ghana. We get to reflect on your life-changing experience in the Gold Coast.

After this you will be dropped off at the Kotoka International Airport for your flight back home
